[Seoul = NewsPim] Reporter Na-Young Lee = Lincsolution announced on the 17th that it has signed a supply contract with Hyundai Motor Company for high-precision industrial 3D printers to be used in mass production of automotive parts. This agreement is part of Hyundai’s ongoing strategy to transition its parts production system toward 3D printing, and is expected to drive significant revenue growth for Lincsolution.
Over the past two years, Hyundai has conducted rigorous evaluations of major 3D printer manufacturers worldwide to integrate 3D printing into its automotive parts production system. Lincsolution’s “SL-1500” model demonstrated superior performance and reliability, leading to its final selection as the supply equipment.
The “SL-1500”is an industrial SLA-based 3D printer independently developed by Lincsolution. It is the first in Korea to adopt Dual Laser technology, enabling high-speed, high-precision printing of large components. With its multi-laser control system and curtain coater recoating technology, the SL-1500 ensures uniform build quality while achieving production speeds up to three times faster than conventional equipment, making it highly optimized for large-scale automotive parts manufacturing.
Hyundai recently established a dedicated team to accelerate the adoption of 3D printing. The likelihood of integrating Lincsolution’s SL-1500 into Hyundai’s core parts production lines has therefore increased significantly. Lincsolution will provide comprehensive support including installation, trial runs, and process stabilization to ensure smooth initial production.
A Lincsolution representative stated, “This contract is highly significant as it once again validates our global-level technological capabilities. With the growing demand for high-precision, high-speed 3D printing solutions in the mobility sector, the SL-1500 supply record is expected to serve as a catalyst for expansion into various other industries.”
He added, “Starting with this supply agreement, we expect substantial revenue growth driven by wider application in the mobility sector. By closely collaborating with Hyundai, we will strengthen key competitive advantages such as lead-time reduction, weight reduction, and quality assurance across the entire process from R&D to production.”
