Post process

Post-processing for Vat Photopolymerization 3D Printing

Cleaning and Removal of Support

  • Removing the printed part from the build platform, wash off any uncured resin remaining on the surface using IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol). Then, carefully remove the supports that held the print shape using side cutters or specialized tools

Post-curing

  • Once cleaned, the printed parts do not yet possess full structural integrity.

  • It is essential to place them in a UV curing chamber and expose them to ultraviolet light for a specific duration to maximize the material’s mechanical strength and durability

Coloring and Finishing

  • Achieve professional, high-quality results by applying optional finishing techniques, such as painting for a smooth aesthetic or coating to enhance surface hardness
  • For transparent materials, further post-processing can be applied to enhance clarity
